GE IS200EXAMG1A Mark VI Exciter Attenuation Module

General Electric IS200EXAMG1A is the Exciter Attenuation Module (EXAM) used in the EX2100 excitation control system. Its job is to sense the high voltage present at the exciter bridge and attenuate it -- scale it down to a level the control electronics can measure safely. It works together with the Exciter Ground Detector Module (IS200EGDM) to provide the excitation ground-detection function, which protects the generator shaft from the magnetic and thermal imbalance that unintended ground paths through the exciter can cause.
