Overview The Fireye UC485 is an optically isolated USB-to-RS422/RS485 converter designed to facilitate communication between Fireye flame safeguard control systems and external devices. By converting USB signals into industrial serial protocols, it enables users to perform programming, real-time monitoring, and diagnostics from a computer. The device is bus-powered via the USB port, eliminating the need for an external power supply, and features optical isolation to enhance noise immunity and communication reliability in industrial environments. Features Converts USB signals to RS232, RS422, or RS485 for versatile system communication. Optical isolation provides 2000V RMS protection, significantly improving reliability and noise immunity. Plug-and-play functionality allows for easy installation without complex driver setups. Bus-powered design draws energy directly from the USB port. LED indicators provide visual status for power and communication modes (RS-422/RS-485). Configurable dip switches allow users to select between two-wire and four-wire modes. Supports high-speed transmission rates up to 921.6 Kbps. Specifications Protocols: USB 2.0, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485. Isolation: 2000V RMS. Baud Rate: Up to 921.6 Kbps.
