This fieldbus node handles communication between the decentralised CP system and a higher-order master via Profibus DP. The fieldbus node is a slave station on the fieldbus and represents the I/O data and diagnostic information of the connected CP modules on the network. For the electrical peripherals, this module provides the separate electrical system supply for the electronics modules and sensor supply, and the load current of the valves.
