The Beckhoff Automation's CX5140-0142 is a compact embedded PC designed for control systems. Housing a 1.9GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, the device accommodates four USB interfaces and operates within IP 20 protective environments. The PC supports the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 32-bit operating system and the TwinCAT 2 NC PTP runtime control software. To ensure optimal functioning, it should be placed behind a firewall within a network and protected from dusty and wet conditions. Its DIN rail mount design includes options for enhanced shielding and IP 54 protection meeting EN 60079-15 specifications. The device offers slots for a microSD and a CFast card (cards are not included) and can execute motion control projects with or without visualization. The I/O connection is facilitated through an auto-recognizing E-bus or K-bus. The device operates in extreme temperatures, from -25°C to +60°C, and features DVI and fieldbus plug connectors. It also boasts a low power consumption fanless design and is CE certified.
