Overview
The Beckhoff BK9050 is a versatile EtherCAT bus coupler designed for efficient automation tasks, supporting fast data transfer rates of 10/100 Mbit/s. It accommodates up to 64 bus terminals, expandable to 255 with the K-bus extension, making it suitable for larger systems. The BK9050 manages 512 bytes each for input and output on the fieldbus, capable of handling 1,020 digital and 128 analog peripheral signals. Configurable via KS2000 software, it simplifies setup and integration. It supports protocols such as TwinCAT ADS, Modbus TCP, and Beckhoff real-time Ethernet for compatibility with diverse control systems. The device includes an RJ45 Ethernet interface and employs 4 x 2 twisted pair copper cabling, with automatic data rate detection. Operating on a 24 V DC power supply, it has a 70 mA input current plus K-bus current, up to 500 mA, and supports a 1750 mA current supply for the K-bus, with power contact handling up to 24 V DC and 10 A.
